GET INVOLVED!!!

All committees welcome your help!

The Membership Committee is welcoming members in joining us in discussions and projects pertaining to our membership base, member engagement, and proposals for making PASCCO a better organization for all local current and aspiring Paralegals.

If you want to help on any of these or other committees, please e-mail pasccoinfo@yahoo.com or  pasccomembership@yahoo.com.

CAPA also has many different committees you can join to be involved and make a difference on a state level.  You do not need to be on any board to serve on a CAPA committee.  Contact pascco1@caparalegal.org for further details.

State Bar Board of Trustees Appoints Legal Tech Task Force to Increase Access to Justice Through Innovation

The State Bar of California's Board of Trustees appointed the members of a newly-created task force on technology and the law, which will study ways to increase access to justice for all Californians by responsibly harnessing the power of technology.

The State Bar Task Force on Access Through Innovation of Legal Services (ATILS) is charged with identifying possible regulatory changes to enhance the delivery of, and access to, legal services through the use of technology, including artificial intelligence and online legal service delivery models.

The task force  will have 23 members, a majority of which are non-attorneys. A non-attorney majority helps ensure that the recommendations of the Task Force are focused on protecting the interests of the public. Justice Lee Edmon will serve as Chair of the Task Force.

Paralegal Association of Santa Clara County (PASCCO) is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization. PASCCO is an approved MCLE provider and certifies that certain designated activies have been approved for minimum continuing legal education credit by the State Bar of California. MCLE Certificates of Attendance will be available at the event.
